The FINS Merit Awards is set up to encourage and assist members to participate in local, regional and international swim meets.  
 

There are 2 levels of awards:

Level One Merit Award:
Fund to enable members who wish to participate in IGLA and Gay Games meets but are not able to afford the entry fees, and associated room, board and travel expenses,

Level Two Merit Award:
Fund to encourage more FINS to participate in both the local DV-LMSC meets, and also whichever of our sister cities (NY/Boston/DC) is hosting the IGLA-sanctioned meet that year.

There are 2 forms to fill out:

1. Preliminary Interest Survey

This allows the Merit Awards Committee to gauge how many respondents that are interested and to budget the funds that have been allocated.

2. Merit Awards Request

This is your request form that will be assessed on points based on your volunteerism, years as a member and your financial need.

Deadlines:

03/24/06 - 03/30/06

Distribute PIS and application

03/31/06 - 04/14/06

Deadline to have all PIS's and applications turned in

04/21/06

Announce receipiants of Merit Awards
